Humans are currently in a state of- [He hesitates, sounding it out slowly.] A-poc-a-lypse. Everyone is at war and the earth is destroying itself.

There are some keys that are necessary for the angels to end this. My half-brother has most of them right now.

I see. So you and your half-brother are working to help put an end to this destruction? That sounds like quite the task.

Not... exactly. My brother isn't working with me.

It's not that. But we have a fundamental difference of opinion.

Why couldn't you stop the worlds and then sort out this difference?

Because we don't agree on how to do it.

It's complicated, but there are a few things you can do with the key.

He wants to clear out some of the more apocalyptic stuff but mostly leave the world as it is.

No. We don't want such a large risk of everything just falling into the same state again.

But isn't it up to us humans to find out how to find peace?

They couldn't the first time.

But part of being able to grow is being able to learn from your mistakes...

I don't have that much faith in them.

Why not? Surely a child of all people should be able to see that mistakes are the way we grow and learn...

Sometimes you make too many for you to fix, and somebody else has to stop you.

Yes, but once you are stopped, are you not then told that what you were doing was wrong?

If you keep being told and you never, ever learn, when are you punished?
