He's one of my friends. He helped me a lot when I was looking for my papa, which was a long time ago.

He's a little strange, but if he likes you, you must be somebody really special.

By my own world's standards, certainly. To him, I never would have believed it before it happened. It's still...surreal, that our worlds should be so different.

I don't think it's that strange. If there are infinite parallel universes like people say, then there have to be ones that are different.

It's...difficult to imagine something like that. Your father...is a demon, isn't he? Could you imagine him torturing someone and thriving on their suffering? I'd suppose that is how difficult it is for me to imagine a world where God is a tyrant who seeks to abolish human free will...

...well, when you say it like that, it makes sense...

Exactly... There are some things that, no matter how much we know it is possible, even if we are faced with proof that it is before our very eyes, our hearts tell us it can't be.

If things are like that... I'm surprised you keep dealing with people from our universe, who remind you of it.

I cannot hide from the fact that it exists. I cannot refuse to help people in need because their situation is opposite mine.

You're a very kind person. I'm glad your Heaven rewards you for that.

Often, goodness creates its own reward.

I'm back with Papa again, and my brother, and the world's a lot better than it was when I was growing up. So that much is good.

Indeed. I'm glad you could be reunited with your family after doing what you needed to do.

*Because it was his experience that most people he met outside his own world had missions of great importance of their own most of the time.

If only he could still hope for the same.*

...Yes and no. My family is long gone.

If you're Zett's uncle, then maybe if we get to know each other, you'll be in my family too.

[Not as dear to her as Papa of course but still family.]

Not in any traditional sense, I'm not. But I don't mind being part of an honorary family.
