I understand it is the norm in this tower to live in a well-constructed illusion, to feed lies to yourself and to believe in them, as well as to make whatsoever no efforts to understand reality. However I took a risk last month by allowing your people to infiltrate along with us. I care little what happens to you, but as our fates are tied allow me to give you an advice:
Stop making a fool of yourself. Stop denying reality.
Jason is our enemy. It does not matter how many times you will get on your knees and beg him not to be an enemy. It does not matter how many times you will go forward with your optimistic speeches. All you are accomplishing is making a fool of yourself. You have to face the reality of the situation: he is an enemy and sooner or latter he will have to be defeated. Jason is not Dax. He never was and he never will be.
Jason is in a position of power and you have nothing to offer him. Worse, you are amongst those who broke the power cores. The only reason I myself agreed to a truce with your kind is because I have an interest doing so.
If Jason is ever to cooperate with you, it will be in his lone interest. What is his interest? To have you as a test subject for eternity. Even if he was to cooperate with you, it would be little more than a trickery to accomplish his purpose. As a matter of fact, you are painting over your face a target for all those willing to exploit your naivete. If you believe Jason won't realize it, then you are even more delusional than I thought.
Most people are not inherently 'good'. Maybe some are. I don't know them and they do not interest me. But I can tell you Jason is not such a person. If you keep living in your own little imaginary world, all you shall accomplish is doom yourself and all those who are following you. The longest you ignore your enemy is, the more delicate to win the battle will be.
*The note that is returned doesn't look like the neat, trained handwriting of Heaven's scribe. Sure, the fundamentals are there, but the writing hand was clearly not steady. The ideas do not flow from one to the next as in his usual writing style. He clearly did not deliberate on his words the way he normally might. There is no opening address.*
Jason is as much a victim of Ruana as we are. Freedom from oppression is my offer. We will need as much help as we can find to have a chance at preventing her from siphoning the energy of helpless souls and putting an end to the reign of the most powerful of our captors.
I never claimed I believed him to be inherently good, but I do not believe him to be inherently evil, either. This will not interfere with any plans either of us may have.
I do not pretend I can change the way you see other people. I expect the same from you.
*He doesn't even remember to sign it, something that he normally always does.*

But then that is your choice, isn't it?
