[A wooden carved box with a simple slide on lid. It is roughly carved, though it is obvious a lot of thought and effort went into it and the maker lacked only master skill. The side is decorated in carved swirls and flowers and the lid had a scene of some kind of baby canine, wrapped in a crying snake, and snowflakes falling from the sky. If he can make all that out.
The box is filled with poppy leaves from the poppy floor, wrapped up in paper and a note.]
Dear Enoch
First of all I do be wanting to be saying that I do be sorry for attacking you, though I do be hoping that you do be understanding I did no be being in my right mind.
I do no be the best at carving and I do be hoping you do be liking the box, the scene do be coming from a story of my world that you might no be knowing.
There did once be a wolf cub who did be losing his family in the depths of winter, he did be getting into a lot of fights with bigger creatures and did be very injured and in pain, slowly dying because of cold and injuries.
He did be coming across a snake, and he did be reminding her of her children and so she did be leading him to a warm place she did be finding and wrapped herself round him to be keeping him warm. When the cub did be peacefully sleeping she did be biting him, filling him with her poison so he did be dying.
The story do no be having a happy ending because the other wolves did no be understanding the snakes actions, but I did be carving it as a thank you because I did always be thinking the snake did be doing the right thing and so did you be doing.
Mercy do no always be easy.
The leaves do be giving a painless death if you do be eating them, they should no be harmful stored in the box. I did be wanting to be repaying the favour of mercy and yet I can no always be there, so this do be for times where the only hope do be coming from a merciful death.
