Part of him recognizes dimly he's done this mental dance before, this thought that if not him it will be someone who can harm Beckett, but can't muster up any way to acknowledge or correct it. It and his general confusion are all that are keeping him from agreeing right now.]
[Have fun with that maybe-not-totally-incorrect assumption, House. Enoch's shitty coping mechanisms are worse, somehow, when he's aware of them. How does that work?]

[Disjointed? Pretty much. There's a lot of raw emotion he's got to sort out left over from that false time, and House caught him in the middle of it. He's very disoriented, pulled from such a deep sleep as he was.]

[He's just going to dissolve into quiet sobbing here, which speech-to-text won't parse for House. Someone's going to have some nightmares when he goes back to sleep. In the meantime, more non-sequiturs, because he didn't actually listen to his tablet reading off House's message and just kept talking.]
